I remember Mr Keith Hayes saying to us on those days when snow covered the ground, that he would give anyone 'two bob' who could get a snow ball dead centre in the round centre piece just above the two front arch windows, no one ever did.

The Church prior to demolition

When they pulled the church down Gordon and I saw lots and lots of bricks with peoples names on they must have donated them.

The Church Tower was built in 1902, these bricks will probably have come from the Tower, the Tower was built as a memorial to the Rev Doman who died in 1900, so maybe the names on the bricks were the people who donated to the cost of building the Tower. See Tower Fund
