From the left was Graham Corristine, Trevor Crossland. Afkar Hussain,
and someone I can't make out. Just after the bike was Shaun Kinley,
with particularly long hair for then), plus another I can't place.
The last two are myself (Ian Edmundson) and James Smedley The
girls are lined up opposite. You can see Christine Godding's hair
quite clearly in the middle of the girls.

Police Visit

The Policeman who showed us his bike and gave us all a lecture
about how evil-doers would see the inside of the Cells, presumably
whisked away on the back of that mean machine. What a totally
fearsome machine that wasn't! It was probably a Honda 50. It
would have trouble getting up a hill with one person on it,
never mind two. They knew how to strike terror into us kids.
How do you evade a Honda 50 with a Policeman on it? Probably
walking a little faster would do it. Greater Manchester Police
eventually spent some decent money on Officer transport and
the crime rate plummeted significantly.
